In honor of IPv6 launch day, we've enabled IPv6 across the TShock network. Thanks to CloudFlare, we are now running both IPv6 & IPv4 simultaneously without any effort on our part what so ever. If you're ready for IPv6, you should either already be resolving tshock.co to both IPv6 and IPv4 addresses, and if you're already on IPv6, you should be visiting tshock.co via the newer protocol of the two. For more information, see Google's IPv6 explanation.
Ahh....so, how do u exactly switch to IPv6, i noticed that dude didn't say in the Google explanation.
It's done automatically at an ISP level in almost all cases. It's more of an internet backbone change than anything else, but suffice it to say that you're okay if you're seeing this now. As time progresses, more and more of the infrastructure will switch through one way or another, until we reach a point where IPv4 isn't in use anymore.
Thought so, this is like something thats happened to me before: if you don't change it, it'l change for you. i think. well, thanks Nicatron
Interestingly though, attempting to even load this site in chrome kills it now :s, just locks up and wants to crash. Firefox is fine though...
I got a "you don't have IPv6" I wonder if Terraria will still exsist when we're fully transferred over and if we'll use IPv6 for servers.... I'm guessing there won't be an update
I sent an email to my isp asking when they were implementing ipv6... Got a call 2 days later, from a very friendly csr rep whom after getting through her intro shpeel, briefly pauses, and asks me "What's ipv6?" Their "Tech Support Director" is giving me a call tomorrow >.> The next day.... Just FYI, "call" = "email" now. Am I the only one that sees the grammar fail in the last sentence?
I see it. It should be "The IPv6 assignments that will be issued in your area will allow your equipment to pull the information automatically."
Still majorly pissed that I left my magic internet wand in my desk back when I did tech support...would have saved everyone years of time.
