Xenon Server Hosting

    I recently bought a Xenon server to host my Terraria server on. Problem is, I can't get something to work properly.. that "thing" is that no matter what version of TShock I install on the server, it will always tell connecting players that they're not using the same version of Terraria as the server. Is this something to do with TShock or the server in generally? Thanks.

    I have a xenon server for terraria. I have not had this problem. The TC Control panel is down for me otherwise I would look into it.

    I seem to recall needing to go to the addon or plugin page on the xenon control panel. I told it to use the Tshock release, and I might have needed to tell it to use the latest API. I can't quite remember. I can have more answers later on when I get home from work.

    Edit: I found an email they sent me saying they confirmed the update to Terraria 1.1.2. It does not come with that version of the client pre installed, but it is a simple procedure to install it.

    Mind telling me how to install it? (Here or PM) I could probably figure it out but I'm a little lazy :rolleyes:, Lol

    I don't see why anyone wouldn't be using 1.1.2 by now.

    I'm guessing it is easier for them to just use the same basic install to get the server ready or something. Xenon only knows.

    Just navigate through your TCAdmin Control panel to the "Game Mods" link found in the home page of your Terraria 20 slot server. From the Game Mods page you can see a dropdown menu that lists Terraria 1.1.2, Tshock Release, and Tshock Beta. Select what you want and hit the "Install" button. Your server will shut down and do its thing. You will get an email sent to you letting you know it was successful.
    It only took me 5 minutes of browsing my TCA Control Panel when I ordered my server to find the Game Mods page. :p

    I've done that before, that's how I installed TShock in the first place, lol. No matter what version I install, I still get an error. I'll try reinstalling my server then installing one.

    That didn't work either... I tried installing one, then reinstalling the server, then installing another, then reinstalling the server, then install two at the same time, then reinstalling the server... repeat

    You installed the Terraria 1.1.2 from that page? Tshock Beta or Release should not make a difference. Leme know if you still have problems. I can try to join your server as a test.
