I'm sorry, we might copy Minecraft too often but isnt it worth it?! This plugin would have abilities to change the sign text color AND the sign's color overall.

I am not sure if its in 1.2
Or if its already possible
Or if already suggested

commands like /colorsigntxt 255,255,255 and then server says "Right click a sign to change its text to 255,255,255"

and /colorsign 255,255,255 and the server says "Right click a sign to change its base color to 255,255,255" (this would change the brown sign to a different color, not the text)

Yeah so can I get some info or support, or both? :p

That wasn't sarcasm in the least. Not by any definition of the word.

    Technically, couldn't
    • Outlining regions
    • Invincibility (to a certain degree)
    Be done?

Have the TShock developers considered making a client-side mod for Terraria that can act as a means to bridge the gap between server-side and client-side modding so things like this are possible? Kind of like Spout for Minecraft/Bukkit?

(Also, about outlining regions, I have a good idea... Temporarily use the different colored wires, and inform the client to use a wire item to see the boundaries while setting points, or after using a command. Have it so that it will not interfere with real wire, or at the very least memorize/restore the wire before and after the operation/command.)

I'm working on it already. Of course it WILL be compatible with TShock.

We have, but unfortunately not enough people use tshock, and considering the user count, very few would use the client mod. So we decided not worth our time.

I'm sure most of the noteworthy Terraria servers use TShock, being that the regular server binary is the only alternative that I know of (Which is rather inflexible, and has no anti-greif features, as far as I know.). I use TShock, and I'm certain that I would use a client mod that would tie in with it.

I'm also certain that if there was a way for server owners to expand the game in ways previously impossible, with their own flavors of content, people would flock to it.

Awesome to hear, I'm looking forward to it. :3

Perhaps it could be adopted in the future too.
